What is plagiarism?
Plagiarism is stealing other people's ideas or words.
It can be avoided by acknowledging where you got your information ... by citing your sources as you use them, and listing them in a Bibliography.
Your work (essay, report, assignment) should be primarily your own thinking and your own words.
The words and ideas of others should be a small part of your work. They are included so that you can analyse them and discuss your own response to the topic.
Always cite your sources.
